What was the highlight of Hotel Cypress Normandia

Stay if you need a hotel close to the airport for cheap money.

For under $30 a night, this place is fantastic. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and the water was as hot as you wanted it. I stayed one night because I flew in on a late flight and had an early flight the next day. It was less than a 10 minute ride from the airport which was a flat rate in a taxi from the airport of 20,000 COP (About $6.50 USD). If you are in a similar situation, stay here. Highly recommended.

Nothing, It was a great comfortable place. It was also clean. I would not stay here for an extended stay because there isn't much around but the point of this hotel is not for extended stays but for easy airport access.

No bad at all

The hotel is good we like it is really close to the airport and taxi or Uber will charge you around 15000 to 20000 pesos colombianos.

We didn’t like the receptionist when we got there we told her about our reservation and she said there is en extra 36000 for the other person. And we told her that we had talk to the hotel about that and they respond no problem plus in my reservation is clear that Max of 2 person for the room for the price. I even show her the email and she said I don’t have any email from you. She was very rude when I told her ok will paid then she said you own me 22000 and we were ???? Anyway this was the only thinks that we didn’t like she needs to work in her customers services skills

Close to airport and facilities

Staff very helpful, the place is quiet and only 2 stops of Transmilenio from Portal El Dorado, which you can reach by taking bus k86 from the airport (letting you save a lot, compared to an Uber). Less than 5 minutes walk from Transmilenio Normandia, which also helps if you want to go to places like the commercial centre of Gran Estación.

It does not have elevator, however the recepcionist was so kind to offer me another room at the ground floor instead of the third floor. This move was very useful, as I was carrying big luggage

Be aware with the neighborhood.

The place is clean, shower is good, mattress also. Danielle was very kind.

Although, it is very close to the airport, the street, is dark, it not seems a safe place. Nevertheless, I had no opportunity to see Bogota, and I was at the hotel only during a night. There is no transfer service, the staff suggest call an Uber. Also, they asked my blood type, I am not sure if it is a rule in Colombia, but I didnt feel good.

Staff kind and helpful, they let me check in early. Close to airport.

There is no privacy in the room only thing curtain to close big window not enough to prevent sun from entering in early morning. Noise from Street and people talking can be heard obviously.

Good location very near to the airport to sleep over during...

Good location very near to the airport to sleep over during a flight connexion.

The room is very small, for a couple and two big bags and 2 backpacks you can not walk on the room. The bed is also very small, my husband stayed with a part of his leg outside the bed. The box in the bathroom was not working properly and during the bath the water did not flow down the drain and the stall was flooded on out foot which is very unpleasant. The room did not have large windows to open only a small gap, there was no a / c and no fan. As the temperature in July is not high and we only stayed one night was ok but I believe that longer periods of time would be impractical to stay in that small room without any ventilation.

Convenient location

The location is great: between the airport and the the main bus station Terminal de Salitre. They've a small bar, but since a couple of weeks they don't serve breakfast. But they can arrange meals from restaurants nearby for you. Transmilenio Is near.

Unfortunately there was no breakfast.

Great little hotel close to Airport

Super Clean hotel only minutes from the Airport. Clean and spacious rooms, great shower with hot water. Super economical rates. I will be back on my next layover in Bogota.

Good value for money!

Nice looking hotel for the price you pay, with comfortable beds and breakfast included (although, I was not able to have that as I left early). Very friendly personal and helped me out with some things I needed to figure out for my trip.

Neighborhood looks pretty shady. The window at my room couldn't close completely. That was fine for me as I like to have it a bit open, but others might could be annoyed by it. Also, there was no warm water in the morning, which apparently was unusual. Taxi that the hotel ordered in the morning wanted to overcharge me. Informed the hotel later about it, but never replied to that.
